How many people are attached to things? Whether it is painstakingly choosing your china pattern, picking out the right living room sofa, making sure you have all the latest and greatest kitchen gadgets, or even keeping up with the best technology.
One day, if you’re of course blessed enough to live into your 80’s or 90’s, you’re going to find yourself trying to fit all the things you accumulated over the years into one room tinier than the bedroom you currently complain is too small. Imagine having to look around at your 3- or 4-bedroom home and have to decide what will actually fit into that 12×12 space or if you have a roommate 6×12. Forget about that sofa you agonized over selecting for weeks. You may be able to bring along your china and crystal but why?
Explore the many different floor plans available at our senior living community. Make sure to contact us to see what we have available to fit your needs and lifestyle.
Yet we all do it. We all obsess over the things we do not have and spend far too much time not being happy and appreciative of what we do have. Somehow, things are our treasures when really the only things we can actually keep is our scrapbook of wonderful memories we make with our family and friends.
In the end, it is the relationships we forge, that we want to take with us. So that after we have moved into a senior community and downsized and we happen to have a day when we feel particularly lonely, we can look up at any given moment and be surprised by the welcome familiar voice of someone special- Somebody we can always make room for no matter how small the space.
